Children’s and Baby Car Seats

If you require any infant, baby or children’s car seating then we will organise everything for your ease. As we hire the seating on your behalf from the New Zealand Plunket Society, we ask that the customer bear this cost. All seat models are current and are fully checked by the Plunket Society.

These seats are bolted into the vehicle and fitted by an approved “Safe to Go” Installer (at no further cost to you). Please inform us of your requirements at the time of booking your vehicle.

The Law in New Zealand pertaining to Child Restraints

Standards

By law in New Zealand all children under five years of age must be in an "approved" child restraint. An adult safety belt is not considered to be a suitable restraint for a child under five. An "approved" restraint is one which is suitable for the age, size and weight of the child. Restraints available are: Infant Restraints (birth-6 months) Child Restraints (6 months - 4 years) Booster seats are also available

All restraints sold or hired in New Zealand must meet one of several standards approved by the Land Transport Safety Authority.
